See Hooi Geok
Assoc consultant, SGH
Always mindful, See Hooi Geok has been an associate consultant of anaesthesiology at the Singapore General Hospital for the past three years. Forcing her to confront almost every possible medical reality, Hooi Geok has seen it all in the medical field: from paramedics and pilots to treat patients by the roadside and on the airport apron, and going through the Helicopter Underwater Egress Training, which equips her with emergency aquatic survival skills. Hooi Geok also volunteered with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) from 2009 to 2010, and continues to donate to the international humanitarian organisation yearly. When in need of a breather, the 37-year-old turns to Chinese art painting, which she hopes to pursue once she retires.
