Kwok Min Yi

Singapore Dance Theatre is the city state’s first and only professional ballet company, established in 1988. It was not, however, until 2019 that the company could claim a homegrown female principal dancer. Enter Kwok Min Yi: the Singaporean ballerina debuted in Swan Lake in December, exhibiting the rare combination of technical strength, artistic sensibility, confidence, emotion, passion and authority that characterises a principal dancer.
