Blogger and TV Presenter
This Filipino-Chinese super mum to two teenage boys somehow manages to balance family life with her multi-hyphenate jet-setting career. Her interest in writing was sparked by her father, who would assign her summer book reports. The former news broadcaster and managing editor of Metro Weddings Magazine became a full-time blogger in 2007. Now, she’s a TV presenter for Star World, a columnist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Look Magazine, and regularly contributes to The Huffington Post UK, along with other publications like South China Morning Post, Philippine Tatler, and Lifestyle Asia. This is on top of cementing her status as edgy fashionista. She has written for brands like Ermenegildo Zegna and has even contributed fashion week photographs for online retailers, including London’s Harrods. The Manila-based Ingrid has a healthy passion for bags (hence her fun-loving TheBagHag persona) and travel, which you can keep track of on her social media. She mainly blogs at TheBagHagDiaries.com, launched in 2005, and also has a society blog Manila Social Diary, making her a social media maven. Additionally, she is the co-owner and Managing Director of The Accessory Lab (2009), a retail establishment that sells collections of semi-precious accessories from mostly Asian artists.
