Few have dressed as many royals as Han Chong, who was nominated by the British Fashion Awards for Best Emerging Designer, founder of the fashion label Self Portrait. Intended to bridge the gap between high street and luxury, Self Portrait was launched in 2013 and gained high amounts of publicity for its accessible pricing strategy, allowing consumers across a broad range of income levels to afford his creations. In 2016 Self Portrait partnered with Le Spec, the men’s eyewear company. For two consecutive years in a row (2017 and 2018), Han was listed on the Business of Fashion’s list of the 500 professionals shaping the USD $2.4 trillion global fashion industry.
