Clarissa Delgado

Co-founder and CEO, Teach for Philippines

Since college, Clarissa has always been interested in political and governmental work. She is extremely passionate about bettering the country and contributing to the growth of future generations. As a philanthropist and development specialist, the co-founder and CEO of Teach for the Philippines is constantly working to provide quality education for Filipinos. As of now, she proudly says that 75 per cent of Teach for the Philippines alumni remain working in education reform, with close to 40 per cent or more working directly for the government. What's more, this year the organisation has gone nationwide with presence in public elementary schools across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. She is one of two extraordinary Filipina philanthropists awarded by Asia Society New York as one of the 2016 Asia’s 21 Young Leaders Initiative. On top of that, she is a Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) 2016 awardee too.

Her passion: Education equality. “I work every day for a future wherein every child in our country—no matter whom they were born to or where—can access an excellent education.”
