Cheong Jun Hoong
Last year saw Malaysia’s star diver Cheong Jun Hoong become the champion for the women’s 10m platform dive at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, and even winning a gold medal at the 2017 SEA Games. Her name is also etched in the country's history for winning Malaysia’s first Olympic synchronised diving medal at the Rio Games the year before. This athlete is juggling her now 14th year tenure being part of the national diving team, and her pursuit of a degree in communications from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Having won a gold in the recent Commonwealth Games, she is currently training for upcoming competitions.
