Co-founder and managing director, Edible Garden City
An urban farming pioneer, Bjorn Low spent several years in the corporate advertising world, before bringing farms into city when he co-founded Edible Garden City in 2012. The 37-year-old, who is also its managing director, has since helped develop over 50 edible gardens for hotels and restaurants and organise educational workshops for schools, and provides employment for the disabled and the elderly. Edible Garden City also partners with the Autism Resource Centre and SG Enable to provide employment opportunities to autistic adults, while supplying fresh, locally grown herbs and microgreens to the city’s top restaurants. This year, Bjorn made the The Peak’s Power List in recognition for his efforts to create a greener Singapore.
