Ingredients

  • 300g of pasta (can be spaghetti, penne, or whatever type you prefer)

  • 4 sausages (can be chicken, pork, or beef)

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can of tomato sauce (or sauce of your choice)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Grated cheese (optional, to serve)

  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Preparation mode

  • If the sausages are raw, cook them in boiling water for a few minutes until they are completely cooked. Then remove them from the water, drain them and cut them into slices or smaller pieces.
  • In a large pot, cook the pasta according to package directions in boiling salted water. Drain when al dente (cooked but still firm).
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent, then add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Place the sausage slices in the pan and sauté for a few minutes until lightly browned.
  • Pour the tomato sauce over the sausages in the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes, so the flavors combine.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sausage sauce. Mix well so that the pasta is completely coated in the sauce.
  • Cook for a few more minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally, so that the pasta absorbs the flavor of the sauce.
  • Serve the sausage pasta hot, sprinkled with grated cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top, if desired.
