Made with wholemeal bread and fresh fillings such as vegetables, lean proteins and light sauces, it is ideal for those looking for a quick, nutritious and flavorful meal. This snack is an excellent choice for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or even as a snack between meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of wholemeal bread or sliced ​​bread

  • 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise, ricotta cream or natural yogurt

  • 1 large lettuce leaf

  • 2 slices of tomato

  • 1 grated carrot

  • 2 slices of shredded turkey or chicken breast

  • 2 slices of white cheese or ricotta

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Basil leaves or other fresh herbs to taste (optional)

Preparation mode

  • Wash the lettuce and tomato well. Cut the tomato into thin slices and grate the carrot.
  • If using shredded chicken, season to taste with salt, pepper and herbs. If you prefer, you can use turkey breast or lean ham.
  • Spread light mayonnaise, ricotta cream or natural yogurt on the slices of bread. This will be the “sauce” for your snack, which will add moisture and flavor.
  • Place the lettuce leaf on one of the slices of bread.
