Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup cornstarch

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • Butter and flour to grease the pan

Preparation mode

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a cake tin with butter and sprinkle with flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, cornstarch and wheat flour.
  • Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients mixture. Mix well until you get a smooth dough.
  • Add the baking powder to the batter and mix gently until well incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing it from the pan. Then, let it cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
