Last minute: SEC reported that the case with Coinbase could end! Hot moments!

According to Wall Street Journal, the SEC signaled that the case against Coinbase could end.

In a court application today, the SEC said that ongoing talks could lead to the solution of the 2023 case against Coinbase, who is trying to implement legal compliance similar to that of traditional stock exchanges and intermediary institutions. The case was met with the strong resistance of the sector, which argues that the existing Wall Street arrangements are not suitable for digital assets together with others targeting large crypto companies.

This change came with the suppression of the Trump administration for a more crypto -friendly regulatory approach. Last month, President Trump directed federal institutions, including SEC, to propose a new surveillance framework for digital assets. The SEC admitted that the changing attitude can “facilitate the potential solution of the case against Coinbase, and demanded a 30 -day extension from the Manhattan -based Court of Appeal Court to address Coinbase’s arguments.

At the beginning of this week, the SEC had made a similar request in the case against Binance and signaled that the implementation strategy would be re -evaluated in a wider manner under the new administration.

The news corresponds to the same time as Coinbase’s fourth quarter earnings report, which was announced on Thursday and increased in income and profit compared to the previous year. The company benefited from the rally after the election caused by the investor optimism about a potential “crypto golden age üzerine under the Trump administration.
