Born to a British father and a Malaysian mother, Henry Golding ducked the traditional college route to pursue acting, and it is a path that eventually brought him the male lead role in the 2018 Hollywood hit film Crazy Rich Asians, which was adapted from Singaporean author Kevin Kwan’s best-selling book of the same name. He has gone on to star in several other movies, including A Simple Favour, Toff Guys and Last Christmas.
