Ingredients
- Massa

2 cups of wheat flour

1/2 cup cold butter or margarine, cubed

1 ovo

1 pinch of salt

4 tablespoons of ice water
- Filling

2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 medium onion, chopped
-
2 cloves of minced garlic
-
1 can of chopped hearts of palm
-
1 chopped tomato
-
1/2 cup chopped chives (parsley and chives)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup of milk

2 tablespoons of wheat flour
Preparation mode
- In a bowl, mix the wheat flour with the cold butter and salt until it forms a crumbly mixture.
- Add the egg and ice water, mixing until you get a smooth dough. If necessary, add more water little by little.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.
- Add the chopped hearts of palm and tomato, sautéing for a few more minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper and add the parsley. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Divide the dough into two parts and roll one of them out on a floured surface until you have a disc that covers the bottom and sides of a pie pan.
- Place the filling on the rolled out dough.
- On another floured surface, roll out the second piece of dough and cover the pie, sealing the edges.
- Make a few shallow cuts in the top so that steam can escape during cooking.
- Brush the surface of the pie with a little egg yolk, if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes, or until the dough is golden.
- Remove from the oven and let the pie cool slightly before cutting and serving.
