Ingredients

  • 4 ears of green corn

  • 4 cups of milk

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Cinnamon powder to taste

Preparation mode

  • Peel the ears of corn and remove the kernels with a knife.
  • Place the grains in a blender and add 2 cups of milk. Beat well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pass the blended corn mixture through a sieve or clean kitchen towel to extract all the liquid. Discard the bagasse.
  • In a pan, add the strained corn liquid, the remaining milk (2 cups), sugar and a pinch of salt.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent the porridge from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Continue stirring until the porridge thickens and reaches the desired consistency (approximately 15-20 minutes).
  • Pour the porridge into bowls and sprinkle cinnamon powder to taste on top.
  • Serve hot.
