It combines the crispy texture of broccoli with a creamy sauce, usually cheese -based, covered with a gilded and crispy gratin layer. It is a tasty and nutritious option that pleases various palates.
Ingredients

1 pack of broccoli (cut into floretes)

2 tablespoons of wheat flour

2 cups of milk

1 cup grated cheese (Parmesan, mozzarella or another of your choice)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Nutmeg (optional)

1/2 cup of sour cream (optional, for a more creamy sauce)

Thread flour or extra grated cheese for gratin
Preparation mode
- Cook the broccoli in salt water for about 3 minutes or until lightly soft. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour and stir well, forming a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the milk gradually, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Cook until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, black pepper and nutmeg.
- Mix half the grated cheese in the sauce until melted. If desired, add the cream.
- In a greased refractory, distribute the broccoli.
- Cover with white sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese or breadcrumbs over the sauce to form the gratin crust.
- Bake in preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 15-20 minutes or until the surface is golden and bubbling.
- Remove from oven and serve hot as follow -up or main course.
