- Cut the cassava into pieces approximately 5-7 centimeters long.
- In a large pot, add enough water to cover the cassava pieces.
- Add a pinch of salt to the water and bring to a boil over high heat.
- When the water is boiling, add the cassava pieces.
- Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the cassava is tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove the cassava pieces from the water and let them drain in a colander or on paper towels to remove excess water.
- In a deep skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
- When the oil is hot, add the cassava pieces little by little, carefully, to avoid splashing.
- Fry the cassava pieces until golden and crispy, stirring occasionally to ensure they fry evenly.
- Remove the fried cassava pieces from the pan and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Season with salt to taste while they are still hot.
- Serve the fried cassava hot as a side dish with other dishes or as a snack. If you prefer, you can serve it with your favorite sauces, such as seasoned mayonnaise, ketchup or hot sauce.
