The seventh International Symposium on Cultural Heritage Conservation through Digitization (CHCD) kicked off on Tuesday in Beijing. Themed “RE-forma: Digital Heritage Driven by Technological Innovation” and featuring two parallel sessions, the four-day event will focus on new technologies and models of digital heritage.

More than 300 representatives from 20 countries and regions are participating in the symposium, where more than 100 professional reports and cases covering various fields will be presented and discussed.

Speaking at the opening session, Yang Bin, vice president of Tsinghua University, said he believes the pioneering discussions held at the symposium will have a positive impact on the development of cultural heritage, science and technology, education and other fields, and bring significant value to society.
