In Pictures: The China Gen.T List 2020 Unveiling Event
On October 9, we unveiled the 102 honourees from China on the Gen.T List 2020 at an exclusive event in Hengshan House in Shanghai, a renovated Shanghai-style villa.
Presented in partnership with our regional sponsors Credit Suisse, Chanel and Chopard, the dinner saw honourees from this and past years’ lists mingling with members of the Tribe, the panel of industry experts who nominate and help vet candidates for the Gen.T List.
Tribe members in attendance included Philip Tinari, director and CEO of UCCA; Cao Xiaoxia, co-founder of Shanghai Angels Salon; Steven Song, founder of First International Film Festival; Lv Yang, founder of Grapea & Co; Jiang Yufei, project manager of B Corps China; and Charlene Liu, co-founder of Ladies Who Tech.
The evening began with four minutes of mindfulness, led by meditation practitioner Mu Feng, which Qing Shen, managing director of Tatler Shangliu, described as an opportunity to "reflect on the year and be grateful for the things that really matter: our health, family and friends." It was followed by a beautiful dinner in the outdoor courtyard of Hengshan House in the cool autumn air.
Guests were kept entertained by a breathtaking performance by an a capella group, aptly named A Capella, as well as a videos created by Gen.T in partnership with Chanel, featuring 11 Gen.T 2020 honourees from the Arts and Sustainability categories of our new list.
