  • Remove the label from the can of condensed milk and make sure it is closed tightly.
  • Place the can of condensed milk in the pressure cooker.
  • Add enough water to completely cover the can.
  • Cover the pressure cooker and place over high heat.
  • When the pan starts to sizzle, reduce the heat to medium/low and cook for 30 to 40 minutes. The longer it cooks, the darker and more consistent the dulce de leche will be.
  • After the cooking time, turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.
  • Carefully remove the can from the pan and let it cool completely before opening. Do not open the can while it is still hot as this may cause serious burns.
  • After cooling, open the can and place the dulce de leche in a container.
  • Mix well to obtain a homogeneous consistency.
