Follow the step-by-step preparation instructions so that your cooked chicken is very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chicken thighs or thighs (or a whole chicken cut into pieces)

  • 2 tablespoons of oil or olive oil

  • 1 large chopped onion

  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 1 large chopped tomato (seedless)

  • 1 chopped green or red pepper

  • 2 carrots cut into slices

  • 3 medium potatoes cut into cubes

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup white wine (optional)

  • 1 cup chicken broth (or water)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Green chives (parsley and chives) chopped to taste

Preparation mode

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Book.
  • In a large pan, heat the oil or olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Add the chopped garlic and sauté for another minute, being careful not to burn it.
  • Place the chicken pieces in the pan and brown all sides. This takes about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes, peppers, carrots and potatoes to the pan.
  • Mix well and let it cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the bay leaf, tomato sauce and white wine (if using). Stir well.
  • Add the chicken broth (or water) until it partially covers the ingredients.
  • Cover the pan and cook over medium-low heat for about 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is completely cooked and the vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally and add more broth or water if necessary.
  • Adjust salt and pepper if necessary.
  • Sprinkle chopped green chilli on top before serving.
