China’s National Defense Minister Dong Jun met with Brazilian Army Commander Tomás Ribeiro Paiva in Beijing on Monday.
Noting that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Brazil, Dong said relations between the two militaries enjoy a solid foundation of cooperation and broad common interests, and the deepening of this relationship has broad prospects.
Dong urged the two sides to enhance exchanges, learn from each other and take China-Brazil military relations to a new level. Tomás said the Brazilian military is willing to further strengthen communication and exchanges with its Chinese counterpart and deepen cooperation in various fields.
