Chinese automaker Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) made its official debut in Brazil on May 23, at an event held in São Paulo, where it presented five new models and announced its “Brazil Initiative” – the company’s first strategic plan for Latin America.

Focusing on sustainable mobility, technological innovation and local production, GAC introduced Aion V, Aion Y, Aion ES, Hyptec HT and GS4 Hybrid models. The proposal is to offer solutions with high technology, performance and cost-effectiveness, aligned with the Brazilian energy transition.

The company also signed an Inmetro cooperation agreement to support the improvement of automotive standards in the country. The strategic plan includes four pillars: integration of the production chain, construction of a clean energy ecosystem, local talent training and promotion of cultural exchange.

GAC already has 33 dealers in operation in Brazil, with coverage of over 95% of the market. The company’s bet follows the MOVER National Program, which encourages the green automotive industry in the country.
