China hopes that all parties involved will proceed from the fundamental interests of the Syrian people and find a political solution to restore stability as soon as possible, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Monday.
Mao made the statements in response to relevant questions about the situation in the country. According to her, China pays close attention to the development of the situation in Syria.
The future and destiny of Syria must be decided by the Syrian people. China hopes that all parties involved will find a political solution to restore stability and order as soon as possible, based on the principle of being responsible for the fundamental and long-term interests of the Syrian people, she added.
