O China Ministry of Transportation announced plans to accelerate the development of standards for road and air collaborationfocusing on Transport of low altitude and artificial intelligence (AI). The guideline, approved on Friday, is part of the standardization of services for 2024-2027aiming to make the transportation sector more intelligent and digitized.
In recent years, China has advanced in Low altitude logisticswith drones playing a crucial role in short -range deliveries. Ministry data indicate that 2.7 million orders were delivered by drones by 2024. The air logistics market has grown from 27.18 billion yuans (US $ 3.8 billion) by 2020 to 58.18 billion yuans by 2023and projections indicate that it can reach 150 billion yuans until 2025.
The initiative reinforces the country’s commitment to integrate Technology and Innovation transport, expanding the efficiency of the infrastructure and consolidating China as a leader in the intelligent mobility.
