A China announced on Monday a series of measures to boost the sector new type energy storage manufacturerreinforcing its commitment to the development of emerging industries and a modern industrial system. The action plan, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Informatics In partnership with seven other government agencies, it seeks to consolidate China’s global leadership in the sector.
Until 2027the country intends to establish international competitive advantages throughout the Energy storage manufacturing chainincreasing the number of leading companies, improving innovation and general competitiveness. The plan includes update of mature technologieshow lithium batteriesand encourages disruptive innovations to make the sector more sustainable, intelligent and efficient.
In addition to technological innovation, the plan provides monitoring the production capacity of lithium batteriesto avoid Superinvestments and Risks of Disordered Development. There are also guidelines to integrate Blockchain, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and 5G to the sector, improving its efficiency and competitiveness.
China will also reinforce international cooperation in the sector, aligning its strategy to globallike a Belt and route initiative and the BRICSpromoting industrial partnerships and integrated supply chains. With these measures, the country intends to accelerate its energy transition and consolidate its position as a reference in Sustainable energy storage.
