CGCC celebrates 20 years of economic cooperation

Marking two decades of encouraging economic and commercial cooperationa CHINA-EUA TRADE CHAMBER (CGCC) and its foundation held, last Tuesday (11), a commemorative event in Nova York. The celebration, which had as its theme “Building connections and creating opportunities”gathered 300 senior executives, government authorities and innovative leadershighlighting the fundamental role of CGCC in strengthening bilateral relations between China and the United States.

The president of CGCC, Hu Weiwhich is also CEO of the Bank of China in the USAstressed that, over 20 years, the organization has evolved from a small coalition to one of the largest and most influential independent and apartidal trading chambers connecting the business communities of both countries. He reinforced CGCC’s continuous commitment to generate value, boost economic growth and strengthen cooperation between Chinese and American companies.

One of the most striking moments of the night was the Recognition ceremony “twenty for twenty”where companies and partners were honored for their contributions to the growth of CGCC and to the strengthening of Sino-American trade relations.

The event also had a Special Video Message by Michael Bloombergformer mayor of New York and founder of Bloomberg LP. He congratulated CGCC for his commitment to Promotion of commercial cooperation between China and USA and highlighted his essential role in promoting healthy bilateral relations. Bloomberg also recognized the work of participating companies, mentioning the importance of trade, security and climate actions in strengthening the global economy.
