The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a meeting on Monday to analyze and study the economic work of 2025 and organize the Party’s conduct and anti-corruption work.
The main goals and tasks for economic and social development in 2024 will be successfully achieved, according to the meeting, chaired by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
The group called for implementing a more proactive fiscal policy and moderately loose monetary policy next year. It is necessary to enrich and improve the policy toolkit, strengthen unconventional countercyclical adjustments, intensify coordination of various policies, and make macro regulation more forward-looking, targeted and effective.
The country must vigorously stimulate consumption, improve investment efficiency and expand national demand on all fronts, the group stressed.
