With the approval of the Prime Minister, the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam received a high-level delegation from the State Inspectorate of Cambodia, headed by H.E. Mr. Hout Hak, Minister of the Ministry of Inspection of Cambodia. On June 14, 2024, the Delegation visited Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) and received a report on the Corporation’s internal control efforts.
Mr. Do Trung Kien, Deputy Director General of Vietnam’s Department of International Cooperation, greeted the Cambodian delegation on behalf of the Vietnam Government Inspectorate. Representing PV GAS were Trieu Quoc Tuan, Member of the Board of Directors, Nguyen Phuc Tue, Vice President, and directors of the company’s divisions and units.
Mr. Trieu Quoc Tuan welcomed the Cambodian Inspection Delegation and the Vietnamese Government Inspection, thanking them for their trust in choosing PV GAS as the venue for the meeting. He stated that it was an honour for PV GAS to represent the Vietnamese business community to report on inspection activities and current conditions, as well as discuss mutual concerns regarding internal control operations. The Corporation emphasised its commitment to inspection and control processes to constitute transparency and sustainable development. These opportunities for in-depth professional engagement with inspection bodies enabled PV GAS to learn, exchange ideas and maintain its position as a leading company in Vietnam’s gas industry, while enhancing its brand regionally and globally.

HE Mr. Hout Hakthe warmly welcomed Vietnam and PV GAS. He also praised the Corporation for its outstanding achievements and important contributions to the country, hoping that PV GAS will continue to seek suitable partners to expand its activities in the Cambodian market. The results of this visit will be submitted to the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection, and the lessons learned will be widely disseminated on the ground.
Representatives of the Vietnam Government Inspectorate also stated that the cooperation programme with their Cambodian counterparts had evolved after years of coordinated meetings, positive exchanges, training sessions and practical visits. The PV GAS’s specialized discussions and seminars had contributed to strengthening solidarity, while stimulating discussion on experiences in improving governance and business communities in both countries. In addition, it sought to address obstacles/difficulties in maintaining the effectiveness of management operations, while protecting the interests of States as well as the legitimate rights and interests of companies.

The delegation from the State Inspectorate of Cambodia and the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam also visited PV GAS’s Phu My Gas Distribution Center.
The meeting underlined the firm belief in the long-standing friendship and comprehensive cooperation that has existed between Vietnam and Cambodia, strengthening over time, ultimately resulting in important contributions to the prosperous development of both nations.
