Tokenization platform OpenEden has announced that it will be launching tokenized US Treasury bonds (TBILL) on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
at this point XRP Ledgerrecently partnered with OpenEden to offer tokenized US Treasury bonds, and as part of a larger fund, OpenEden Invested $10 million in TBILL tokens.
Under the partnership, Treasury bonds backed by the Treasury Department will be available as TBILL tokens on XRPL.
RippleX Senior Vice President Markus Infanger emphasized the importance of this development, saying:
“Tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds demonstrate the potential of real-world assets to drive utility and new opportunities on decentralized platforms.”
OpenEden co-founder Jeremy Ng noted that users will be able to mint TBILL tokens using stablecoins including the upcoming Ripple USD.
Under the partnership, issuers of TBILL tokens will comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations to ensure security and regulatory compliance measures are maintained.
