The Boao Forum for Asia will host the Third Conference of the International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (ISTIF) in the neighboring city of Zhuhai from September 19 to 21. A promotional event was held on Thursday at the Macau Science Center to generate SAR participation.
The conference is jointly organized by the Zhuhai municipal government, the executive committee of the Guangdong–Macao In-Deep Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, the organizing committee of ISTIF and the South China University of Technology.
During the promotional event, the president of the ISTIF executive committee, Leong Vai Tac, called for the active participation of more academics, industry experts and business representatives from Macau, according to Exmoo News.
He stressed that SAR youth are encouraged to play a more prominent role in the development of the high-tech sector in the Greater Bay Area.

Under the motto “Innovation for a green and sustainable future”, the third ISTIF conference will delve into cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, wireless connectivity, biopharmaceuticals, the climate crisis, smart construction, smart materials, technology finance and marine sciences.
The conference features an impressive lineup of speakers, including renowned foreign politicians, foreign envoys, representatives of renowned domestic and international companies, as well as experts and academics from various research institutions and universities in mainland China and Macao.
As part of the conference, an International Frontier Innovation and Technology Exhibition 2023 will be held, which will provide a platform for exchanges between cities, companies, research institutes and science and technology incubators.
In addition, a group of esteemed businessmen and academics from Zhuhai and Macao will showcase the technological achievements of the collaboration between both cities at the conference.
