China will expand the scope of subsidies to replace ancient agricultural machinery and increase financial incentives by 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said on Tuesday. The initiative aims to boost the modernization of the agricultural sector and increase productive efficiency in the field.

In addition to the nine types of equipment already contemplated, the subsidy program will include six new categories: rice sprouting machines, agricultural land monitoring appliances, plant protection drones, grain dryers, color classifiers and flour mills. The government will also raise the values ​​granted to certain equipment, such as cotton harvesters, whose maximum subsidy will rise from 60,000 yuans ($ 8,365) to 80 thousand yuans ($ 11,150).

The official statement, signed by the ministry and three other central government authorities, highlighted the need for efficient use of Ultralong Treasury titles deadlines for the disposal and renewal of machinery. In addition, the government has reinforced the inspection to avoid fraud on subsidies requests, ensuring that resources are applied correctly in agricultural modernization.
