A China rejects the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and reaffirms that post-conflict governance must follow the principle that “Palestinians govern Palestine”said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jianthis week.
The statement was a response to US President’s speech, Donald Trumpwhich suggested reassuring Palestinians in neighboring countries such as Jordan and Egypt, and put Gaza under US control. Beijing was positioned against any measure that violates the rights of the Palestinian population.
Lin pointed out that The parties involved should take advantage of the opportunity of ceasefire to resume the process of political solution. For China, the only viable way for the region’s stability is the recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state.
China argues that the Palestinian issue will return to political agreement based on the solution of two statesallowing a lasting peace in the Middle East.
