Based on the remarkable progress achieved in recent years, China’s reusable rocket developers are ready to reach new levels in the next 12 months.

Guuwang and Spacesail, two of the country’s leading satellites from the country, will have tens of thousands of orbit satellites in the future, creating a robust market base for commercial launches in the country.

The wide demand of the market will serve as a powerful driving force, boosting innovation and continuous advances in reusable rocket technology and accelerating the generalized application of new technologies, materials, processes and test methods, said Meng Xianbo, director of Galactic strategy director Energy, a rocket developer based in Beijing.

Galactic Energy is currently working on two types of reusable rockets. The Pallas-1 is a reusable two-stage rocket with liquid and kerosene oxygen propensity. Weighing about 290 tons at launch, it can carry up to 8 tons to Leo. This rocket is scheduled to make its debut flight in the first half of 2025, starting business operations with two missions planned this year.
