The combination of pasta with golden pepperoni brings a rustic and delicious flavor, ideal for lunches or dinners during the week. With few ingredients, you can create a complete meal that pleases everyone.

Ingredients

  • 250 g of pasta (penne, spaghetti, or your choice)

  • 2 pepperoni sausages cut into thin slices

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 chopped garlic cloves

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil or oil

  • 1 can of naked tomatoes or 2 chopped tomatoes

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Salsinha or Chives Chopped to decorate (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese to serve

Preparation mode

  • In a large pan, boil water with a pinch of salt. Cook the pasta according to the packaging instructions until it is al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil or oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the pepperoni to slices and fry until golden and crispy, stirring occasionally. Remove the pepperoni and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the onion and sauté until transparent.
  • Add garlic and sauté for another 1 minute.
  • Add naked tomatoes (or fresh tomatoes) to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until they break down and make a sauce.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Return the fried pepperoni to the frying pan and mix well in the sauce.
  • Add the boiled pasta to the skillet with the pepperoni sauce and mix well, ensuring that the pasta is well wrapped in the sauce.
  • Let it cook for another 2 minutes for the pasta to absorb the taste of the sauce.
  • Serve the hot noodles, decorated with parsley or chopped chives.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over a final touch.
