Crypto even analyst Fred Krueger says former President Donald Trump will issue a bill as part of a sweeping set of executive orders expected Monday. Bitcoin He made a bold claim that he would announce the creation of a Strategic Reserve (BSR).
Krueger outlined his reasoning in a statement, pointing to political risks and Trump’s historical support for pro-crypto policies.
“There will be a lot of executive orders announced on Monday, that’s for sure,” Krueger said. “If there is no executive order regarding the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve among these many announcements, then many of Trump’s donors will be very upset. Trump does not want to experience this disappointment at the beginning of his presidency.”
Krueger noted that the multitude of executive orders expected creates a high likelihood for the inclusion of a BSR initiative. “If there were just a few executive orders, BSR could have gotten away with delaying its decision. But not if there are dozens.” he said.
Additionally, some recent reports indicate that cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is backing the Bitcoin reserve initiative. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong reportedly had private meetings with Trump.
