In Santo André, in greater São Paulo, Creche Luz do Vale celebrated a new achievement: a significant donation from the Consulate General of China, reinforcing a partnership that, for more than a decade, has transformed the lives of 170 needy children in the community.

Founded in 1988 by the Tortele family, the daycare center received a visit from Yu Peng, consul general of China in São Paulo, who highlighted the importance of solidarity initiatives like this to promote child development and strengthen ties between Brazil and China. During the ceremony, he highlighted that the actions carried out reflect the Chinese nation’s traditional virtues of solidarity and support for those most in need.

Adriana Tortele, coordinator of the daycare center, emotionally recalled the advances made possible by the partnership over the years. “Since 2011, we have received Chinese associations here at the daycare center, and this has had a very significant impact on the care provided to children, from structural works to food, which is now 80% financed thanks to these contributions,” he stated.

The recent donation was used to purchase food, teaching materials, educational toys and infrastructure improvements. Municipal representatives present at the visit praised the collaboration, highlighting how it strengthens social facilities and expands opportunities for the children served. For the local community, Creche Luz do Vale remains an essential pillar, and the partnership with the Consulate General of China reaffirms the relevance of global collaborations to face local social challenges.
