Alleged Donald Trump Interference in Cryptocurrency Prediction Platform!

Wall Street Journal (WSJ), former President Donald Trump crypto para published an article raising concerns that the recent rise in rates on prediction platform Polymarket may have been artificially inflated.

According to the news, Trump’s probability of winning the elections in November has increased sharply in the last two weeks. As of Thursday, Polymarket users estimated Trump’s chances at 62%, compared to Vice President Kamala Harris’ 38%. This is a significant change from early October, when the two candidates were in a close race.

The WSJ suggests that this increase may be the result of manipulation by four Polymarket accounts that collectively placed approximately $30 million worth of cryptocurrency bets on Trump’s victory. Miguel Morel, CEO of blockchain analysis firm Arkham Intelligence, stated that after analyzing the data, he believes the four accounts are likely controlled by the same entity.

Some observers argue that the big predictions may be the work of a high-stakes player confident in Trump’s luck and looking for a big payout, while others suspect it may be part of a coordinated influence campaign designed to give Trump momentum on social media.

Polymarket is reportedly investigating activity in the presidential election market and has appointed outside experts to assist in the investigation, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Adam Cochran, managing partner of Cinneamhain Ventures, said $30 million is enough to change the odds on Polymarket and is not a significant outlay for a wealthy individual or group looking to influence an election. Cochran called the move one of the most effective political ads money can buy.

Currently, Polymarket puts Trump’s win probability at 60%, maintaining a significant lead over Harris.
