Ingredients

  • 1 can of green corn (with water)

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 1 can of milk (use the can of condensed milk as a measure)

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 cup (tea) sugar

  • 1 cup cornmeal (tea)

  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

  • 50g grated coconut (optional)

  • 50g grated cheese (optional)

Preparation mode

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a pan with butter and wheat flour.
  • Blend the green corn (with the water from the can), condensed milk, milk, eggs and butter in a blender until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the sugar, cornmeal, wheat flour and beat again until all the ingredients are well mixed.
  • Add the baking powder and mix gently with a spoon or spatula.
  • If desired, add the grated coconut and grated cheese to the dough and mix well.
  • Pour the dough into the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 to 50 minutes, or until the cake is golden and firm to the touch.
  • Do the toothpick test: stick a toothpick in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
  • Let it cool before unmolding.
