Vinai introduces revolutionary drunk driving detection technology in Europe

By participating in InCabin Europe 2024, VinAI will present DrunkSense, the world’s first system that passively detects drunk driving without the need for a breathalyzer. This is the first time this revolutionary solution has been introduced in Europe, with an accuracy rate of up to 85%, which promises to revolutionize modern traffic safety.

DrunkSense is a next-generation smart vehicle safety technology that uses a multi-sensor approach. By combining facial expression tracking, vehicle control monitoring and airborne alcohol sensors, DrunkSense can detect drunk driving with a sensitivity rate of 85%, an 8% improvement compared to the current industry standard.

Thanks to its advantages over traditional breathalyzers, such as continuous operation and no need for human interaction, DrunkSense can warn or intervene in time, even when the driver’s blood alcohol concentration is below the legal limit.

Visitors will be able to experience DrunkSense technology first-hand at booth 117 at InCabin Europe 2024. Additionally, VinAI experts will give an in-depth presentation on the technology at 9:25 a.m. local time on October 10 at stage 1 of the event venue.

Under the theme “DrunkSense: Integrating Multimodal Detection and Advanced Analytics to Improve Drunk Driving Detection,” VinAI experts will provide a deeper dive into the technological aspects and applications of DrunkSense.
