A concert was held at the Great Hall of the People on Sunday night to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Chinese President Xi Jinping, other Party and State leaders including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi and Han Zheng, as well as retired senior leaders, were among the more than 3,000 people who attended the concert.
The event featured orchestral music, choir performances, performances by a group of traditional instruments, piano with a band and other artistic expressions, and ended with the entire audience singing “Ode to the Homeland”.
China’s National Day is celebrated annually on October 1st.
