Preparation mode
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a cake tin.
- In a large bowl, mix together the corn and wheat flours, sugar and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly and add the milk and oil. Mix well.
- Pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture and stir until everything is well combined. If desired, add ground fennel or cinnamon for flavor.
- Finally, add the baking powder and mix gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding. Serve the cornmeal cake in slices and enjoy!
