According to the latest development, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said that the issue of adding a staking feature to Ethereum Spot ETFs is “not on the agenda.”
Eight newly approved spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs have had a strong debut this week despite lacking staking revenue, a key feature of Ethereum’s native token.
Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE), which has existed in non-ETF form for years but was recently converted to an ETF, saw outflows of around $811 million. However, newer products like BlackRock saw around $800 million invested in the first two days. Issuers expressed satisfaction with these early results.
With a new administration set to take office in January, the landscape could change rapidly and issuers remain hopeful that staking could eventually become a part of their products.
