MakerDAO has announced its Tokenized Treasury Investment Program to invest $1 billion in tokenized U.S. Treasury securities, Coindesk reported.
This program was met with great interest, as it was stated that leading issuers such as BlackRock, Ondo Finance and Superstate were planning to participate in this investment program.
Speaking to Coindesk, Carlos Domingo, CEO of tokenization platform Securitize, which is BlackRock’s issuance partner, said: “We think this is a great move from MakerDAO and are excited to join as Blackrock’s BUIDL. As the leading tokenized treasury issuer, we will definitely apply.” said.
MakerDAO’s $1 billion investment program was announced at the ETHCC in Brussels, Belgium, and it was stated that applications will open on August 12.
$550 million RWA platform Ondo Finance (ONDO) ve Superstate also plans to participate in the Tokenize Treasury Investment Program.
