The Pujiang Innovation Forum will be held in Shanghai from September 9 to 11, China’s Ministry of Science and Technology announced at a press conference in Beijing on Monday. This year’s guest country of honor will be Brazil.
The forum, which has the theme “Open Innovation Ecosystem: Innovation for Global Connectivity”, will focus on international cooperation in science and technology, in addition to issuing updates on the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), the Human Phenotype Project and global cooperation on jets.
Nine special forums and two thematic seminars will be held, along with the opening ceremony and plenary session. More than 200 participants from around 30 countries and regions were invited to speak at the event.
Brain science, cutting-edge physics, life sciences, low-carbon technology, nanotechnology and robotics will be discussed and a report on a global index of innovation centers is to be published.
Started in 2008, the Pujiang Innovation Forum is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai municipal government.
